Bobcats News · Junior High Strength and Conditioning / Football, XC, & Volleyball Update 8/7/2020


The planned strength and conditioning for Junior High Athletes next week Monday 8/10-Friday 8/14 has been CANCELLED  out of an abundance of caution. Athletes are being asked to continue to do at home workouts &/or Jog/Run to better prepare for the upcoming seasons.

S-T JH XC Training starts… Tuesday, August 18th @ 615am- Meet at the track.

If you are in JH VB or JH FB, you will train from 615-645am and then report to VB or FB. If you are NOT in VB or FB, you will train from 615-715am. All trainings are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

REQUIRED to bring to practice… -Bag -1 bottle of water -face mask- must wear it when you exit your vehicle -towel- for your sweat and protect the seats of your car since you will be sweaty afterwards. -cell phone Contact Coach Luna and Coach Stowe linda.luna@stbobcats.net catherine.stowe@stbobcats.net

JH Volleyball: will still start on Monday August 17th at 6:30am-8:00am, at the Main Gym.

Athletes must provide their own water and wear a mask. Please Bring Physical Paperwork if you have not already. Athletes can purchase athletic clothes that morning, incoming 8th graders can wear their gear from last year.

JH Football: JH Football will now begin on AUGUST 24th  at 4:15pm. Athletes will meet on the Dots Outside the HS Football Locker Room. PLEASE do not show up to the dots before 4:05pm. Athletes must wear a mask and bring Physical, UIL Rules, Concussion, Steroid, Agreement. Athletes also will need to provide their own water.  If you need a packet please contact Coach Silva at the Athletic Office 361-287-3426 X 3019 or at stephen.silva@stbobcats.net. You can also pick up a packet at the Equipment pick up.

Equipment Pickup for JH Football Players will be Thursday August 20th  & Friday August 21st from 4pm-5pm at the East Side of the New Gym in the breeze way. Athletes can come either day at any time in between 4 and 5.  Athletes must wear a mask and social distance. We ask that parents/Guardians stay in their vehicles to limit interactions. Athletes can bring a large duffel bag to carry their gear out or carry it out by hand. Athletes can pick up or drop off paper work as well.
